Jesus needs us to remain vigilant & obedient to what he has told us to do regardless of persecution. In John 12 starting in verse 37 during the passover feast it sais "But though He had done some many miracles before them , yet they believed not on him. That the Scripture of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled , which he spake , Lord who will believe our report ? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? going to verse 41 these things said Esaias , when he saw his glory , and spake of him. Nevertheless among the chief rulers also may believed on him but because of the phariess they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue. For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Jesus needs us to be confident and to not be afraid to be put out of a church building or to be rejected for standing for what Jesus himself has told us to do.
